Obituary:

Jerry B. Wagner age 73, of Jackson, MO; passed away on February 28, 2014 at the Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born December 12, 1940 in Gypsy, MO; son of William Madison and Pearless Atlas Kerr Wagner. He and Darlene Schneider were united in marriage on October 30, 1964 at the Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson, MO.

Jerry retired after 35 years from the Lone Star Industries, and had worked for the Ford Motor Company in St. Louis and the Jackson International Shoe Company. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

He served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962.

Survivors include his wife Darlene Wagner of Jackson; son Michael Wagner of Jackson; daughters Deborah Wagner of Cape Girardeau, MO; Mary (Neal) Holweg of Leopold; two grandchildren Jessie and Ethan Holweg nephew Clifton Barnhart of St. Charles and a niece Patricia McCallister of St. Louis.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Dale, Carl and Charles Wagner, five sisters a stillborn baby, Mary Blacksher, Cleo Lumpkins, Wanda Ham, and Sue Aberson.

In Lieu of Flowers memorial contributions are requested to the Good Shepherd Chapel or a charity of choice.

Visitation will be Friday, March 7, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral Services will be Friday, March 7, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill with full military honors by the Missouri honors team.
