Obituary:

Lonnie Dean Brindley, 65, of Oran passed away Friday, June 28, 2013, at his home.

He was born August 4, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, to the late Paul Millard and Geneva Lois Cummins Brindley. He married Linda Robins on June 14, 1969.

Lonnie served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968.

He was a loan officer for City Capitol in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Michele (Billy) Gilliland of Chaffee, Mo.; a grandson, Dustin Strickland of Chaffee; two brothers, Kenneth Brindley of Scott City and Larry Brindley of Oran; and a sister, Peggy Whorton of St. Louis.

He also was preceded in death by a son, Kurt Brindley.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park at Marble Hill, Mo.
