Obituary:

William Jennings Morgan, 85, of Sedgewickville died Friday, Jan 6, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born August 4, 1920, at Portageville, Mo., son of William and Grace Elizabeth Sawyers Morgan. He and Mary Helen Leist were married Jan. 20, 1950, at Piggott, Ark. Morgan was a machinist.

Survivors include five sons, Lawrence Morgan of Durango, Colo., Rondal Morgan of Buffalo, N.Y., Russel Morgan of Apache Junction, Ariz., Roger Morgan of Commerce, Mo., Robert Morgan of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Regina Tucker of Jackson; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Visitation was held Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 9, 2006, at the funeral home with burial in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery at Marble Hill, Mo.
